Bill sent this:
Quote:Just thought I would drop you a line about TASOM's latest event. You can visit the website at http://www.tasom.net/events/airsoft2000/index.cfm, but
below is some of the basic info.
Thanks,
Bill
TASOM (Tactical Airsoft Simulations of Memphis) is hosting AIRSOFT 2000 June 16th-18th with the help of major sponsors, Two Chicks Paintball and Tippmann Ordnance. This huge event will take place on over 70 acres of playing field with towns, buildings and bunkers near the Colorado/Wyoming Border, just outside Virginia Dale, CO.
The current pre-registration is near 100 people with over 200 people expected at the three-day event. Event cost is $35.00 pre-registration or $45.00 for those paying after May 31st. The event will consist of smaller skirmishes on Friday and Sunday (when people are arriving/leaving) and a larger, 24+ hour, scenario on Saturday. A vendor area and concessions will be available at the event. The hosts, vendors and sponsors will be sponsoring many giveaways, one of which is TASOM is giving away a TOP M60E3(Shorty). Camping will be available on site, free of charge, and hotels are available in Fort Collins and Denver, which are less than 1 1/2 hours away from the field.
ATTENDEES
We currently have people attending from United States (East & West Coast)and Canada, and attendees are organizing rideshares to make the traveling easier.
VirtuArms
Kurtis sent this (excerpted):
Quote:Large portions of the site are now up, and more will be added each day for the next week as I am transferring things over from my old site and adding new material. The site is called VirtuArms.com and it's main focus is on News about AirSoft and making AirSoft replicas of sci-fi movie guns through conversion and scratchbuilding. The first project will be an AEG AirSoft ALIENS Pulse Rifle which will be built off of the Tokyo Marui Thompson. There will also be articles about other things that Sci-Fi collectors and AirSofters might find of interest including Movie Guns, Real Steel, Games, and producing graphics for games (my profession).

X-ring Roaming...
Yes, I've been travelling extensively again... spending plenty of time in Austin, Texas. In the works are major upgrades to the mainsite and the discus board over the next couple months.
