Op: GOLD RUSH
Reb sent this:
Quote:aka: THE SECOND BATTLE FOR BLOODY CREEK
Situation Report:
We have just received a final transmission from one of our recon teams, code name: King Six. They were on an Operation: Gold Rush mission, in the jungles of Santa Cruz (Allied/Host Nation), to intercept a shipment of gold meant for the rebels. They have met heavy resistance 250 yards southwest of the rebel village. They are completely surrounded, low on ammunition, and cannot reach the pre-arranged extraction point. We must mobilize the Mobile Force One team to rescue them and bring in fresh supplies.
The Cree rebels have seized the main trail that crosses the creek leading to Doggone (Rebel Headquarters) Village, so we must bypass them. The Cree rebels have mobilized every available comrade in order to eliminate the American recon team. Their morale is down and their cash reserves are low, so they desperately need a victory. They are seeking revenge over their defeat at this same location earlier this year. They will seek victory at all costs in what they are calling, The Second Battle for Bloody Creek.
The government of Santa Cruz (our Allied/Host Nation) has given our American forces unrestricted rights to eliminate the Cree rebels and retrieve the gold. Unfortunately, they do not have the manpower at this time to assist with this mission.
Mission Orders
Mobile Force One: This American unit must make a waterborne insertion into rebel territory. They must rescue the King Six recon team and deliver to them a backpack full of ammunition. The Mobile Force must protect this backpack at all costs. Should the rebels capture this backpack, then the King Six team will run out of ammunition within a half-hour after the game begins, and cannot fire anymore until this backpack is retrieved. Once link-up is completed with the recon team and the ammunition delivered, Mobile Force One and King Six will set-out and retrieve the second backpack with the gold in it. They must keep the gold in their possession, till the end of the game in order to win. They must be at the extraction point 15 minutes before the end-of the game, and defend it till they are picked-up and the whistle blows.
King Six Team: This American recon unit was carrying-out an Op: Gold Rush mission of intercepting a gold shipment meant for the rebels. Before they could accomplish this, they ran into the bulk of the rebel forces and were quickly surrounded. They managed to break contact and escape into the mountains. They are extremely low on ammunition, and only have enough left for the first 1/2 hour of the game. After that, they will not be allowed to shoot until they receive the re-supply backpack from Mobile Force One, so their number one priority will be to avoid contact till they link-up with the rescue force. They must link-up with Mobile Force One, re-arm, and then find the gold.
Cree Rebels: They outnumber the Americans 2-to-1. Their mission is to protect the Doggone (Rebel) Village, finish off the King Six recon team before they are re-supplied, and find the gold. If they the stop the recon team from being re-supplied, then the King Six recon unit will not be allowed to shoot after the first half-hour of the game until they are re-supplied. This will make it easier for the Cree rebels to eliminate the "American pigs", and achieve their mission.
You can choose which side to play on. The teams will be broken up by uniform type: one unit will wear Tiger Stripe (modern or Vietnam style), another Woodland camo, the rest will wear Black, and/or a mix a whatever dissimilar styles there are left. This will be decided before the game, as the different clubs RSVP. Be ready to exchange BDU jackets with your friends, in order to have all the uniforms in a squad match. If you have both, bring them with you just in case we need to even-up the teams. Each Bay Area airsoft club will have at least one of their players chosen as a squad leader, and all the teams will be fully integrated with players from all the clubs.
There will be a follow-up announcement prior to the game that will give more details, including: detailed map of the field, game strategy, name the squad leaders from the different teams, etc. This will be MilSim at its best, so don't miss it.
Because of the remote location of this playing field you must:
1. Have your equipment ready (magazines filled, batteries charged) to be transferred to four-wheeled drive vehicles.
2. Bring water and a lunch. We will be playing 2 games of one and a half-hours each with a 30-minute break.
3. The briefing starts at 1000 hours (10 am) and we load up after the briefing. No one will be left to direct you to the play site.

Quote:CQB Training -- By special permission, BAASH was granted the opportunity to conduct some intensive CQB training in a closed-down office building this weekend. Members of BAASH’s two CQB teams (Green Team and Black Team) conducted Room-Entry, Cornering, Corridor/Hallway and Multiple-Room Takedowns.
While rudimentary lessons such as correct shooting platforms and single-room takedowns were covered in a previous session, this training session started with “no-fire” walk-throughs to re-fresh everyone on timing and positions for each type of takedown. From there, each team went on to actual “live-fire” takedowns against static targets. The end of the session culminated with several “live-fire” exercises using live tangos and live volunteer hostages!
Thanks to all who attended for making the day both enjoyable, intense, and productive. Special thanks to our SWAT and C/T “consultants” (we promise - no names!) for the training tips. Your guidance has made these sessions more real and meaningful. Special thanks also to BAASH 4 for securing permission for the building. And finally, thanks to the property owner for the unlimited use of the building!
