EBRUARY 2001
By Admin on Wednesday, February 28, 2001 - 8:35 am:
In B.C.
Today, I'm headed into British
Columbia to check out some possible sites for "snow" ops. Heck,
while I'm up there I might as well snowboard up at Whistler... and do some
dogsledding in the wilderness. Note: the dogs do not make "pitstops"
and will excrete on the run... that's one reason many experienced dogsled
drivers prefer to stand at the rear of the sled, rather than lay down at the
front.

Letter from Colt Posted
Finally, I made it home!
I had an unscheduled layover in Nice, France. Why? My flight
departing from Nice had an unexpected collision with a ground vehicle.
Gendarme (i.e. French police) everywhere. Airline personnel photographing
the damage. Minor mob scene at the airport. Anyways,
click here for the letter from Colt.

3P S.A. at Milia 2001 ,
part 2
I met with 3P S.A. again. No
shooting this time. Instead, I sat down for an excellent extended
conversation with the Marsac brothers.
It turns out that they own the exclusive
rights to the Colt, Smith
& Wesson, IMI, UZI, Magnum Research, GIAT, Taurus, etc.
trademarks and trade dress... everywhere!
This means that Tokyo Marui, Western Arms, etc. sublicense the use of
those trademarks and trade dress from 3P S.A.They
also own the rights to the Walther, Springfield Armory, etc. trademarks and
trade dress in a vast number of countries. They
invited me to visit their Paris headquarters and warehouse, which currently has
over 300,000 airsofts in inventory. Yes, that should give you an idea of
the huge volume of their trade! I will certainly visit them on my next
trip to Paris, which will be soon. Coming sometime
in the near future are big changes in the distribution and retail of airsoft
replicas. Stay tuned here for the latest news!

Tuesday,
February 13, 2001 - 6:30 pm [Cannes, FR]: 3P S.A. at Milia 2001 in Cannes, France
I met with Jerome Marsac (Pres.) and Eric Gautier (US Rep.) of 3P
S.A. which owns the rights to the Colt trademarks on airsoft for the U.S.
You can expect 3P S.A. to accomplish big things in the U.S. soon. Given
our busy schedules, we agreed to meet again tomorrow morning to continue our
discussions. Stay
tuned for more details. 3P S.A. does more than
just airsoft. I spent some quality time on a big screen shooting
simulator. You can currently do single clay, double clay, IPSC
pepper-popper, squirrel hunt, and duck hunt. Despite the lack of recoil
and the strange trigger pull on the pistol, the simulator was definitely
good fun, especially when shooting clays with a .45 Colt 1911!... I want
one! Price? $15,000.

Milia 2001 in Cannes, France
After a quick stop in Amsterdam, I hopped over to
Nice (skipped the Nice Carnival), then heli'd to Cannes for Milia 2001.
As some of you know, this part of Southern France is often referred to as
"the French Riviera." Oh, it's even warmer and sunnier this year
than last year! Just like last year, I'm staying at the Majestic, which is
where that famous lobby scene in the movie "Ronin" was filmed. I
had an interesting dinner conversation with a distinguished gent who spent some
time in Nigeria helping the regime evaluate unnamed attack choppers armed with
depleted uranium rounds in pod-mounted gatling guns. According to him,
those things make a real mess of ground targets, even heavily armored ones.

Op: Red
Dirt Two
Dr.King
sent this invitation:
Quote:
On January 28th at Operation Red Dirt, Mike Force One members made probing
attacks to the rebel held hill top known as the Punch Bowel. After assessing 43 rebel dead the rebels (after lunch) acquired Dr. King and Shawn Naglic to
lead the rebel forces in making Make Force One work hard for their kills. In one engagement using Dr. King's double spear head manuver wiped out all the
Mike Force One members. Operation Red Dirt diffenently earned it's name. Oh, what fun!!!!
And we are going to do it again!
0930 (9:30am) Febuary 18th 2001 be there sharp because we are going to leave at 1000 hrs (10am) to convoy to the play site. If you are late you will miss
out on a outstanding play day. So, bring a friend, lunch, water and plenty of ammo (BB'S).
The internet maps are very good to Dr. King's house:
